PLEASE NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS INTENDED TO PROMOTE SALES AS A TRAVEL ADVISOR, I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS IF YOU DECIDE THIS VACATION IS FOR YOU.
Since I was already in Punta Cana, I did want to visit a few other resort while I was there. I took one
afternoon to do just this:
Our first hotel stop was the Paradisus Punta Cana; this resort has been around for about 10 years and is a
huge property, so huge that they have trams that go around the property to help transport guests from one
part to the other. Several pools with swim up bars, the resort has their special Royal Service and Family
Concierge programs which afford a private check-in lounge, the Royal Service is for adults only and
provides several luxuries, but most noted is their own pool and own beach area. At both the pool and beach
area, the Royal Service guests are “served” and catered to for their every whim. The Family Concierge
works much in the same way- but the families have their own pool and the parents are given walkie-talkies to
put them in touch with their family butler who will take care of the kids and the parents as needed. All of this
is included, with the exception of afterhours babysitting which is done for the standard $10/hour per child
fee. In either case, those guests who travel here under the Royal Service or Family Concierge plans do
receive very special attention.
For those guests who do not indulge in either of these luxuries, you need not worry- the resort has plenty of
public areas that are available to everyone who stays at the resort. The beach is very beautiful- soft, white
sand for what seems like endless miles. This resort has 7 restaurants; all of them are sit-down service and
all very elegant. Because the hotel was just about 100% full, I was only able to view one guest room. It was
a standard room- but it was a beautiful room. Luxury linens, nicely appointed decorations, marble floors
throughout, balcony, Jacuzzi tub. I would say the bathroom did feel on the small side.
If I had to pick out a negative for this resort, that would be it. The grounds are amazing- you feel as though
you are in a tropical forest. The resort has their own on-site zoo, they have batting cages, rock climbing
wall, fitness center, pool games, non-motorized sports and all of this is included in the resort rates. Al l your
beverages are included and that also means any premium liquors. Many all-inclusive resorts will include the
basic vodka, gin or whiskey, etc. but when you want a specific brand you are sometimes charged additional.
All in all, I was very pleased with this resort. I definitely feel it lives up to its ratings of 4-5 stars!
